What Font Files Should I Send?

If you submit Hi Res PDF files, make sure that all your fonts are embedded when the PDF file is created.

If you submit collected layout files, we will need usable, MAC compatible fonts files for every typeface uded in your design. IT IS BEST TO STUFF OR ZIP FONTS BEFORE UPLOADING OR EMAILING TO US.

Windows users: When sending TrueType fonts, send TTF files; PostScript Type 1 fonts, send PFB files & PFM files; OpenType Fonts are also acceptible.

Macintosh users: When sending TrueType fonts, send files or suitcases containing those files; PostScript Type 1 font, send PostScript font files (printer fonts) AND suitcase files (bitmap fonts);

OpenType Fonts are also acceptible and are suitable for use on both platforms.

Please be aware it is best to send PostScript or OpenType Fonts. TrueType Fonts sometimes have unpredictible results. Also, PostScript fonts will not work without both printer AND screen (bitmap) versions of each font. For more information on fonts, we recommend this document and this video by the makers of the font management software Suitcase.
